HL2 What a shame! - Page 2

this is how i see it for real!! the best games out right NOW!!(first person shooters) is Doom3, far cry, and the mighty half life 2, but its all a matter of opinion when deciding which one of these is better................. B)

Hl2 would blow me away if it had bigger battles and a higher difficulty level. It needs Halo style massive three-way rebel-combine-zombie battles-- then it would be insane. Right now it's just kind of boring

B)I have been a gamer since 1987 and no pong was not my first game...Wish Bringer a text game on a Tandy 1000Ex. The Tandy came with 1 meg of video memory, expandable to 2 megs...so I am an old fart!

I was just let down by all the hype. I feel my observations are just and accurate. PCG score of 80 is not bad but its not great either.

Half Life 2 would have been the greatest if it had the FREEDOM of play of Far Cry, the Graphics of Doom3 and the Story Line of Halo......That would deserve the 98%.

I appreciate those whom posted agreeable threads, you have my respect!

BTW I enjoyed playing Half Life...Happy Holidays to all :thumbup:

I like all 3 big boyz farcry D3 and HL2
1-2 hours of load time? what do you have for a comp? a gateway 2000?
and may the HL2/ was ment to be linear for the most part! i know as in many other "linear" games there many diffrent(if not a few) ways to solve a problem within the given path and or section. the story line takes some detective work in HL 2

to comment on the graphics each game(farcry, D3, HL2) has it own tech show and style going on so its prefrence
as is what you like for story line and visual style and game play
so dont play the hype play what you like! and dont tear something down if it wasnt for you in the first place

Um... they don't rank a game on preloads or file confirmation. Heck. they didn't even have to when they played it. Reviews are based on gameplay. And as far as I'm concerned, the loading times didn't bother me.
