HL2 What a shame!

Even Gordon himself doesn't know what the hell he's doing. He doesn't know what has happened during the time he was in stasis, and nobody tells him, because they assume that he knows. Have you guys clicked that link I posted?

look, Super Mario story was about an evil turtle/bull hybrid that kidnaped the princess so mario jumps and runs throu uncountable levels in order to free her.
in DooM3 hell broke lose and you are fighting it including some folks. that was the story.
in The Longest Journey you were literly playing the whole story.
in Micky Mouse Fantasia.....well.....who knows what that was about....
HL2 you are a guy who drops into interactive cutscenes where people are like: OMG, it's the ub3r 1337 h4x0r freeman from 4324234 years ago...and that's it.
you do not have a story after that. You run around and move things and if you feel like it shoot stuff. But there is no story...you don't even know if the Combine are the bad folks, they are just there...for your fraggin pleasure.
Is HL2 a good game? sure. Is it great? well, depense on each own opinion. Does it have a killor dope story? NOPE. and if you think HL2 does have a great storyline, it's all in your mind and you have some serious problems that someone should look into.

its like saying Doom 3 would have been the greatest if it had the FREEDOM of play of Far Cry, the physics and gameplay of HL2 or Far Cry would have been the greatest if it had the bla bla bla....that is just nonsense, each game has its own unique features that's the cool thing about these games, now unless you get Id,Valve and Crytek to work together, then maybe you will have your dream come true..... about Halo2 for me that was just an average game, Story line was ok Graphically Speaking it doesn't even compare to these 3 games

The story of HL2 is quite simple as well (at least, that's what I think of it): Gordon Freeman is the hero (or Mesias) who frees the people of earth from the evil alien suppressor.
