and now tell me SpamisoriX you really think that these Stories made these games fun to play? i think its more like when mario jumps and runs throu uncountable levels, the space marine shooting the crap out of the zombies and demons the insane mindless killing, the sound, graphics, I dont think the Story line is what made HL2 a fun game, i think is more about gameplay and game content, the same goes for Doom 3, Mario or any other game, i mean thats what videogames are all about |

at least i think he is, anyway the fact is that some folks are hyping that HL2 (altough a great game)
has a great story, and thats not the case

THUS the conclusion of this discussion is...
HL2 is teh Roxxorz....
Doom 3 is not 
Well thats what i at least tought. Doom 3 was such a dissapoint-ment...
only the first part of the game was cool.... from then on it went DOWN the hill !
Far Cry is much much better ^^
And HL2 is the Rulor of all games!

far cry was a visually astounding game with amzin gameplay
doom 3 was visually astounding game with classic gameplay
half life 2 is a visually astounding game with amazing gameplay
all 3 games have awesome sound characters weapons.........what do they all lack STORY!
doom 3 sole space marine against an army....i mean if they made it more like 2 guys or a small band of em fighting to survive while they all got picked of one by one then that would be cool.
far cry....kinda had something going for a while then it went belly up with the whole gentic altering crap.
half life 2......now there is a story here what they failed to do is ENHANCE IT they didnt bother explainin it.and why the hell doesnt freeman ask ppl whats happening.if hes clueless and he tried to find stuff out for himself then that owuld make it more involving coz you wanna find out what happend to him just as much.he doesnt even quesiton why the hell hes been chosen.i mean if im "living throuhg his eyes" they might as well give me some more brain functions.
now far cry was the only shooter in ages which had a hero who TALKS! i mean they make the games all cinematic and involving but they nevr have the guy talk.thats just gay.
big thing is all these games want to excel in grphics coz thats where the money is.also th stupid physics in hl2.they aerent a necessity half the time.its just been set up to USE THE PHYSICS! i admit at times u gotta use it but mos tof the itme cmon its an obvious set up.like when u gotta put weight in that lifet to raise the ramp....wtf man.....whihc idiot rebel dreamed that contraption up.

But it is refreshing to play a game with such nice physics, explosions are much cooler with all the pieces of wood and tons flying around, Far Cry lacked that. And by the way, it's still just a game, it's not like everything has to be realistic, I mean, those devices that make use of the physics engine are just fun little puzzles. I think that's way more fun than searching for a key card and having to backtrack all the way to find the right door.

ok im not akting away anyhting from hl2.it really did well with what it had as did far cry and doom3. but hinestly some of the reviews you read are just way too hype based.there is nothing in the game to even bring it close to 98% maybe like a 90%
