I never said HL2 is a bad game. But Valve is a crappy company.
no i'm talking about buddy that started the thread and what he said not you, i know that...
why? is valve a crappy company.....they make good video games! thats what they do!, how is it crappy? because they didn't make it easier for you too copy thier game........they want to make money just like any damn company, at least they took teh time to make a good product and not just rush it out the door like many game companys do *cough*EAgames*coughh..........

Hey Bios..

To be fair about the good things in Half Life 2:

The physics and character facial accuracies were fantastic! They were heads above any other game I have ever played.

Secondly it was a good ride, not a GREAT one!

Opinions are not personal attacks!

I would hope that the Game developers like Valve would take time to read these threads in order to gain feed back on their next installment of Half Life 3 and make changes accordingly.

Maybe there is a COMPANY out there that will make a game with the best qualities of Far Cry, Doom3 ,Halo and Half Life 2... we would have the best ride in gaming..

I challenge Valve and all the other developers to give us that game!

For everyones information I am NOT SEPHT!!

A gamer since 1987...

I'd like to compare the story of Half Life to the Matrix series for a minute if I may...

Think of playing the first HL game being equal to watching only the third movie. nothing makes sense eh?

think of playing the second HL game (after playing the first one) being equal to watching the second matrix movie after watching the third movie (still havent seen the first). Still deosnt make much sense huh?

now think of the third and final installment of HL2 tying up all the loose ends of the story being equal to finally watching the first matrix movie to understand wtf was going on with this matrix and this "the one" and all that stuff.

I just think it's a unique story telling device used to confuse the hell out of the player (because you are supposed to be gordon in this game. you are supposed to experience everything he feels. he has no idea what the hell is going on, you have no idea whats going on. he figures out some keys to the plot, you do too.) I think after the third game, gordon will figure things out, hence you will figure them out, whole plot is tied up in a nice package, everything makes sense.

for those confused by my matrix analogy, here it is again in easy form

play HL1 (watch matrix 3) THEN:
play HL2 (watch matrix 2) THEN:
play HL3 (watch matrix 1)

everything makes sense?
