ive been buying parts since before summer and have had all my parts since months ago and something always messed it up.
but today is my birthday and my parents just decided to freakin hook me up.

amd 64 3000+ processor 512kcache
512 knigston ram
msi neo mainboard
some weird glowing case
sony cd rom
IBM 40 gig IDE hd
Chaintech Geforcefx5200 256mb 250/400 always@295/495, stock cooled
is what i had, and it never would work no matter what. i rmaed the mobo, brought it bits international and had them set it all up, they sold me oem windows xp and i took it home and installed.

todays my birthday, mom got me a cool computer desk, dad got me a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, and my dad's gona get me a17" lcd flat panel.
also were getting wireless network so i can have it all in my bedroom.

QUESTION:
for some reason my wireless optical mouse just shoots up or down and in weird directions every few minutes, i installed the software that came with it and didnt help much, my educated guess is that the little tiny bumps that are random and seldom on my table are interfering, any sugestions?
also my cdrom drive always makes a hissing sound.

btw here was my old rig, bought from gateway.
intel p4 1.27 ghz 256k cache
128mb rdram (64x2)
30 gig hd
riva tnt2model 64 32mb video card

get a new driver for your mouse. or you have a mousepad that reflects to much.
most of the time it's the fillrate of the mouse that makes the mouse spin out of controll once in a while.

keep in mind that flatpanel monitors are not ideal for gaming. they're too blurry in games. get a CRT 19". it'll be half the price of ur flatpanel and quality just as good and best of all it won't have the blurryness of the flatpanels.
here's a good one i plan to get someday:

that depense on what flatscreener you get. I got a NEC MultiSync LCD2180UX and never experienced any bluryness or whatsoever. of course quality comes with a price. But I doubt that the flats nowadays still have that problem. I saw today at a friend who bought a cheapass 500 bucks 19" flaty and it had exellent image quality without blurygalore. 2 years ago they were crap but it seems that they fixed that problem.

it has 16ms response time , although it is a d-sub, im sure d sub is fine, i dont know the diference between dsub and dvi anyway, mind telling me?

also is that a good lcd ?

i dont want crt because of the space consumption, plus theyre ugly i have a 17 inch and a 21 inch, both blury and anoying, neither are flat tho... kinda wanted one of those.

anyway for 200 dollars u really cant beat that, in my guess, the only reveiw says its fine for gaming

any insight?

my insight is that you only see one side of the thing so go with the better one. the crt is 19" and it'll be better but hey if you're into looks and the sleek-sexy look turns you on, then i guess go for the skinny one. i prefer mine "large and in-charge."

Yeah, i've got a Hercules Prophetview 920 DVI and i have never had any blurryness at all, ever

D-sub is just another word for Analogue, i think DVI is a digital connection only.

Sack the CRT , these are old lookin' and too big for desktops these days

I think DVI stands for Digital Video Interconnect.

The main differences are that is a a digital signal and so does not require analogue adjustment on the monitor.
