Ten Most Violent Video Games Should Not be on Holiday Shopping Lists For Children

Prince of Persia 2 is counted as Non-Violence....i guess they never found the button for how to use the dagger.....but HALO 2 is evil on 3 legs...

This violence in video games malarcky is gettin' outta hand.

Games now have clear ratings on them just like Films etc...A lot of developers make games for mature audiences and NOT for kids.

It's the Dumbass parent i blame, who either lets Jonny go to the games shop and buy games that are clearly for audiences older than him, or goes in to the shop and buys Jonny the ******* game himself :nxs: Then starts to moan when Jonny isn't sleeping at night, or turns into a little ****** through 20 straight hours on Doom3.
Video game violence is here to stay and i say WOO HOO

Thats exactly what I think too...

Parents should take more responsibility for their children's actions.

GTA series and Manhunt are a must Ban for children..
There are incidents tht hav occured in America where a 15 year old bo killed his 13 year old friend in the same fashion as done in Manhunt after playing the game. Same with GTA also.. These games show Gore in real time i.e., in real life.

Halo 2, POP are fine coz they r fiction. but stilll.... if rated mature then shouldnt be allowed to be played by younger audience.

Correct, but it's up to the parents of that minor to make sure they are not playing the likes of GTA or Manhunt Not the game developers

The whole "video games are corrupting our young!" argument is an old issue in new clothes. Books, comics, music, movies and pretty much every other form of entertainment out there has already been through this hazing ritual and now it's time for the video games. Meanwhile we're just going to have to grin and bear it while soccer moms, clueless politicians and the sensationalist media have their field day with it.

The parents that just want to get shopping done and so forth, and consider gaming as just a time-consumer for kids, see it as harmless entertainment, so they merely go and buy whats on the list. Developers shouldn't be blamed, publishers and parents should be for not paying attention to small but important details.

It doesn't matter who is buying the game, it's the parents responsability to know what is being played on their kids Console/P.C.

I think you can't blame games because some nutcase kills someone. I mean a lot of underaged kids play gta & their fine. manhunt I can blame for what I've seen. whats the point in that game?

What is youre opinion about steam. I mean theres no age limit except the credit card. any nice parent would give their credit card number to thei kids
