Does anyone else have this game?
I recently got this from my local store. Needless to say it had to be returned when I witnessed probably the worst game engine performance in recent times. Im still using an old FX5600 card which (Don't laugh) seems to run HL2 with no problems at all. However when I tried upping the resolution from 640 x480 to 800 x600 my comp nearly died. Running this game at the default settings it looked rubbish and the gameplay wasn't all that special. I noticed that EA released a patch but it was mostly multiplayer fixes. I am fully aware that older hardware can't run the latest titles at high settings but if you compare the performance of Doom 3, Painkiller, HL 2 versus the Pacific assualt engine I can't for the life of me see what is in the Pacific Assualt game that requires so much more graphics power than HL2? I can't imagine anyone spending another £300 on a graphics card just to play this pile of poo at 1024 x768 The game sucked, I couldn't be arsed, I got a refund...

I played it with 10x7 and it ran pretty smooth with Shader 2.
But when I tried Shader 1.1 to get rid of the bluryness it started a slideshow.... But then again the game is crap...so noone missed anything they couldn't play it.
