What a joke. It was really bad last year with Madden 2004 winning GOTY. This year it was slightly better, only because there were some good nominees. The winners were viewer's choice, so some were stupid. The winners were:

Most Addictive Game Fueled by Dew (Mountain Dew): Burnout 3: Takedown
Best Gaming Website: GameSpot
Best Gaming Publication: Game Informer
Best Song in a Video Game: American Idiot by Green Day (Madden 2005)
Best Military Game: Call of Duty: Finest Hour
Best Role-Playing Game: Fable
Best Multi-Player Game: City of Heroes
Best Handheld Game: Metroid: Zero Mission
Best New Technology: Nintendo DS
Best Graphics: Half-Life 2
Best Wireless Game: Might and Magic
Best PC Game: Half-Life 2
Best FPS: Halo 2
Best Designer of the Year: Jason Jones and Bungie Studios for Halo 2
Best Fighting Game: Mortal Kombat: Deception
Best Soundtrack: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
Best Sports Game: Madden NFL 2005
Best Action Game: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Pontiac GTO's Best Driving Game: Burnout 3: Takedown
Cybervixen of the Year: BloodRayne
Best Performance by a Human Male: Samuel L. Jackson (GTA: San Andreas)
Best Performance by a Human Female: Brooke Burke (NFSU2)

Well, some of them i agree with but, not GOTY. This should go to HL2, specially now it's got MP. I found that San Andreas got very samey after awhile

I'm not sayin it's crap but, i think it not worth the top spot ;)

Caught last half hour of it, I think the whole show is just a bunch of celebs put on a stage to name games. EA does not deserve any awards. (although I like Burnout 3 so... still.. screw them!)

there is actually alot of stuff I don't agree with...HL2 best graphics...hrhrhr....yeah, whatever...gamespot best website...and then they woke up....
