huge urgent question

See this year for some reason I haven't asked for any video games for christmas but only computer upgrades and an ipod and im not asking for any because I figure I've got Halo 2 I've got Halife Life 2 what else is there to get but now i see all sorts of best games of 2004 countdowns coming out and games like Farcry and UT2k4 continue to impress because Farcry just looks sweet and I really like multiplayer like more than anything so UT2k4 also looks awesome. Basically, If i have to ask for one game for christmas (xbox or PC), WHAT SHOULD IT BE?

I just get concerned that if I DO get a game I'll neglect it for a long time because I'll get too caught up in my old habit of Counterstrike and jesus I've actually been neglecting Halo2 for several weeks now because of CS and I havent touched fable in months and it's remained unbeaten because of CS:S. Some help? I know there are a lot of threads about Xmas lists but eh.. ugh just gimme something to go off of

Silent Storm and Silent Storm: Sentinels

These are rather old (Sentinels came out this year, S2 is from last year), but you can neglect everything for them for VERYYYY long.

Damn...shouldn't have played them lately again, feeling obsessed again

Well first UT2k4 is a waaaay other MP xperience then CS:S (gameplay wise)
But its really really dope , hell like it waaay more then CSS (but thats just my oppinion you all fanboys out there dont flame me for that)
About FarCry well, i can say its a really really good game , it really impressed me the first time i saw it, and when in play it now it still does.
I liked the freedom you had in most maps. So for a nice SP xperience FarCry is a fine choice m8

mikeeegeee u sound like my brother only he likes COD, he's is totally crazy about it. So try COD (mutiplayer) and see what u think. PC VERSION ONLY, PS2, XBOX, OR GAMECUBE SUCK!

Thanks KingKong but I have COD and I still play it on multiplayer from time to time. I'm pretty sure I dominate at it.

I loved the original UT so much (it was one of the best things to play at lans), but UT2k3 really dissapointed me but I've heard such good things about UT2k4 (and I played the demo for a while which was pretty sweet on the one conquest (or whatever the real name is) map.) I'm not looking for so much of a single player game because they take a lot more time to invest into whereas in multiplayer you can just join a game and leave 10 minutes later... then again Farcry is really hard to resist.

Tell me more about this silent storm 2. I've seen videos, the graphics look nice, and it just looks pretty interesting.

For the love of God please dont mention the UT2K4 demo, IT WAS TERRIBLE. I 100% wouldnt have bought UT2K4 based on the limited fun I had in the demo. I took a random purchase and bought it hoping I would like it. The game is fun beyond belief. There is nothing easier and sitting down and getting a solid game of UT in at any time of the day. The game is extremely accessible because its not built on a crappy platform(steam), and the master server refreshes very fast. The gameplay is top notch, and the graphics still kick major ass. Trust me, you will love UT2K4, guaranteed. I really dont know anybody who has tried the full game and doesnt like it. Its that good.
