Hey, does anyone in this forum have any idea about the Battlefield 2 website showing up. I mean ok, its not that important but right now since there is barely any information on the game, anyone would expect it to come out like next year or so, cause the realese date is in 4 months time and I haven't seen their website. Neither are they showing any hints of a demo appearing. It maybe a little early to ask but my gut tells me the game is getting released much much later on, then the expected date!
Anyone here know anything more then me?

A delay is a possible thing. However, have you seen the latest screenshots? Rumours are saying Battlefield2 will break the "law" of free FPS Onlinegames and will be a pay per play game, because a credit card option for purchasing content showed up in one screenie. Was a big story a while ago.
I'm not looking forward to it, if it will cost a monthly fee.
However, there are some dedicated fansites around, maybe they have some more info about the (none existant) website or a release date.

Thanks for that little detail. But if this is true, what you have heard about there being a Pay to Play game with a monthly subscription, they are really going to do badly. The only usual reason for there being such a fee for the game is because it is somehting like planetside, where you can have a 1000 players on a server. Now if thats the route dice is taking, I won't talk about BF2 for another couple of years, because it will take that long for the game to be ready for Alpha even. From what Ive seen its the normal sized maps of Battlefield, but it would not be worth getting if its with pay to play. I heard there are accounts, but I expected it to be something like battle.net. Which is free!

Alright, it is definitley not going to be anything like Planetside or any MMORPG. Maps will be regular size! But still they haven't revealed much in the interviews I am reading.

Let me see if I find the said Screenshot again.
Couldn't find it. Maybe there won't be a monthly fee but I remember the "Purchase new content" button in the interface from the screenie.
Anyway, the developers aim for march 24th 2005 as a release date.
and enjoy the packshot:

Yeah Thanks, but I would suggest to Dice to give up on trying to make the game Single Player as well as Multiplayer. I found Single Player good just for target practice. Anyway thanks for the information.

I think from what I've seen and read atleast for the consoles it would be a pay - 2 - player FPS where you gain rank and all that like SOCOM 2 but more descript and you get rewards and all that. EA sucks, so BF2 will suck.
