New Gameboy SP

I just saw the GBA (forgive me , Father, for I have not kept my ear to the silicon). Â*The back light idea is great, but the size is something else entirely. Â*84mm across is only 8.4cm. Â*Roughly translated that's 3.3 inches. Â*Try holding your tumbs on 3.3 inches on a ruler. Â*It's a little on the small size. Â*Plus, that flip up screen looks very easy to break in a moment of frustration (not that any of us ever throw controllers or our sacred GBA).

All in all, I'd rather use a flip up light shield instead. Â*Pelican makes a nice one that runs on it's own AAA battery and features a light sensor that shuts off the light when there's enough ambient light. Â*It also has a switch built into the unit that shuts it off when you close the shield after play. Â*Not that I'm plugging or anything.

I'm also sh*tting myself about the sp, even though ive been praying for its announcment for months. it looks so uncomfortable as you said, and the shoulder bottons look so tiny. im not sure i want to shell out "70-80 pounds" for a backlight.

Being a true Nintendo fan I can't say that this is the best new console there is. I have plans to keep my existing gba + afterburner (soon AB ) but it's most likely that I'll buy the new one anyways, even if its only to "have" it.
