Proof of how "assholish" EA is

Top 10 Game Sales of 2004

1. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2) - 5.1 million
2. Halo 2 (Xbox) - 4.2 million* includes Limited & Collector's Editions
3. Madden NFL 2005 (PS2) - 3.2 million
4. ESPN NFL 2K5 (PS2) - 1.5 million
5. Need for Speed Underground 2 (PS2) - 1.4 million
6. Pokemon FireRed (with adapter) (GBA) - 1.2 million
7. NBA Live 2005 (PS2) - 1.2 million
8. Spider-Man 2 (PS2) - 1.1 million
9. Halo: Combat Evolved (Xbox) - 1.1 million
10. ESPN NFL 2K5 (Xbox)- 1.0 million

At first glance you think, "Wow, ESPN grabbed two spots in the top 10. No wonder" But add those two up and compare to only the PS2 version of Madden, and that ONE version of Madden outsold TWO versions of ESPN by 700,000 copies. Yet they still felt the need to completely destroy Sega's franchise.

On a side note, Halo 1, which was originally released as an Xbox launch title in November 2001, still outsold every GameCube game. I still have a soft spot for Nintendo, but that's ownage.

This wouldn't be so bad if the games were good, but from what i have heard most of them are laughable

I have Boycotted EA for years now, well i have never really felt the urge to buy any of their half finished teahate anyway, so it sort of amounts to the same thing

yes, EA always released bad games.

however, i hope Battlefield 2 will be as great as 1942.... one of the reasons it was that great is because DICE had the most developing done on it.

Its business, get used to it. Thats the name of the game. I could care less if EA beats there employees with sticks, no ones keeping them there.
