hm... i was sooo waiting on this demo but, idk its not that great i mean it has some cool features but its unplayable. I dont know if anyone else has noticed it or not but it is very choppy and i notice a lot of GFX errors with the game. Lots of ground details get flashy and change a lot. I think that has something to do with it. The graphics arent even that great in the game and it runs horribly. Empires Dawn of the Modern World ran better on high and it looks way better. EE2 i run on medium and low without that picture to picture screen in the right bottom corner and it runs ok for alittle while then when the smallest amount of action comes into play its a huge slow down? I think theres a few bugs causing it to be choppy... and i wish there was a tutorial to tell you about the game. I mean u get movement points to pave road and such, how was i supposed to knwo that....

yeah, weather effects render my system awfully slow...

all features i like are gone, now its like, upgrade to another epoch to get new units, and that sucks, cuz you go that fast from one to another that you don't have the chance to look into this current epoch your at.

I agree, I expected it to look/act diffarent...better by all means, however when i first lunched the demo right at the menu screen I saw flashes, I've checked all settings on high and headed for the skirmish, the first comment was .."Where did I leave my glasses .. :bucky!: " the screen flickered like the 4th of July.

If we are talking graphics, I thought I played EE1 :Oo: it's almost identical, the game play is not that exciting, but if you got nothing else to do, and you liked the first game then go and download it to see it for yourself.

on the graphics part, i'd say EE1 was even better.

this is another case of n00befying a game. They drop the stuff that made the people like the game (and not to forget that we made the game that big in the first place) to add some useless stuff so the kids picks it up, droping the original EE gamer.

Another one bites the dust.

EE2 is great! its got so many new features but its kinda kept its old gameplay, i was'nt expecting any great graphics even though my radeon 9600XT 256mb handles this demo with everything on high with no choppyness or bugyness!. This game is built for multiplayer,anyone who thinks single player is fun on the empire earth francise has no adsl. The new diplomacy settings are great and i cannot wait to host a INDY - DIPLO - NO SIEGE! again!. Being able to build bridges is great aswell and adds another new element. The weather system is annoying at times but again adds a nice new feature but the good thing is you can turn most of these settings off so atleast they've given you options and lots of them although not all available to use in the demo. And now that you can now play a 5v5 or just a 10 people FFA is crazy!. Cannot wait i think they've done a good job on adding lots of new options to choose from!. Units do move abit weird and the camera angle is a tad weird but the game should be a hit multiplayer wise.
