Faild to find any Direct X9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c caompatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacture. The application will now teminate.

This is the message that show's up to my screen when i install the game and start it .Any other game like Half Life 2 and Doom3 and NFS UNDERGROUND 2

works perfectly but this not.

My video card is GF FX 5500 256 DDR and I'm with the lastest drivers . Can you help me please want to try and see SIMS 2

Have you tried formatting? probably the only thing I can think of is a hink in the drivers you have :/

Before this problem I was without SP1 and yes I formated the drives and nothing is the same teahat.Now I have SP1 but not and SP2 becouse NFS Underground doesn't

work....I'm not sure but I'm gonna try to install and start the game now when'm with SP1 but this doesn't mean that the problem will be resolved so the Help is still valid...........

1: Stay away from SP2.

2: Get ZoneAlarm for a good firewall, replaces SP2's lame one.

3: Install different versions of graphics drivers, and maybe different DX9's....I had a problem with DX9 where one of the lame-planet downloads installed it and ruined it completely.

I've downloaded my DirectX from GURU3D.COM and don't have problem with other games my NVIDIA drivers are also from GURU3D.COM version 71.80 that was the last but I thenk that the problem could be from the file that I used becouse before I put the the game normaly ask me for the original CD of the game but when I put the file the game gave me that Message that I wrote into the message .So if you can give mi alink from where to download the true working for the game very thankful .......

Well you have 3 options:

1: Complain to EA and hope you're one of the 10 people of billions that ask for tech support and don't get it.

OR

2: Go to the Sims2 forums and post/look for this problem.

OR

3: Return Sims 2 for a refund and get Sims 1 (which is a lot better IMO)

Its bad! You dowloaded the game. One more post about downloaded games and your're banned
