vietcong is going to seriously upset a lot of people's view of online gaming. it has a very addictive gaming style. not only is it compelling, but the weapons are extremely well modeled (the AK is particularly gnarly) and "feel" much more lifelike than the weapons in R6-3.
there's something about R6-3 i've noticed that makes it feel a little too "sterile." there's nothing really *raw* in it. vietcong has some very rough (and appealing) edges on it, making it less stylized. there's something that's somewhat alienating about a game that looks really "clean" -- kinda like sitting on the vinyl-covered crushed-velvet sofa in your gram's living room
the weapon sounds & feel, the lush environs, the theme and time period--which is very appropo for america, i might venture to point out--and most of all, the ability to call in a freakin' strike force (??!!what??!!

is going to make this something quite fierce.
let's hope the developers can control all the cheating vulnerabilities that the game has already shown a great potential for. that, and the candle i have burning for the AI. if these two things are of the same quality as other aspects of the game by the time it ships, it will definitely be a force to be reckoned with.
