RTS/RPG GAMES

I am a FPS freak but through gamershell i have been getting interested in buying a RTS/RPG type game.
I have read countless reviews and interviews but would like to know from someone who plays these type games what they would recommend
So far warcraft III, Diablo,etherlords & morrowind have all caught my eye one way or another.
So the question of the day is what would the gamershell folk recommend

Well, I like the japanese way to RPG...

I completed games like Grandia 2 and Golden Sun whilst I hardly touched Morrowind...

Golden Sun is for Gameboy Advance (still it is great)

Finished: Morrowind, Dungeon Siege, Neverwinter Nights and Grandia 2

Golden Sun is great too though, but I couldn't get past the damn boss on the boat

what did you prefer
morrowind or neverwinter nights

Morrowind is probably the best rpg ever, you get near enough total freedom, it is easy to use and the many different plots are amazing. I can't believe that anyone who enjoys any type of rpg does not like morrowind. I normally hate rpg, after trying so many rpg but morrowind made up for all the crap rpq's. I just hope that Elder Scrolls 4 is being made.

Anybody played Skies of Arcadia for Dreamcast? I loved that game, very good RPG. Anyways, I am kind of looking forward to the future MMORPGs like Star Wars Galaxies.

I have still dreamcast and skies of arkadia to play... and shenmue 1/2

I wonder if I'll ever do it... I still have to complete monkey island 3

anyway grandia II (that was completed) looked better than skies of arcadia, or at least easier to get into.
