If so, you certainly have come to the right place.
The game i want to tell you about is called Act of War: Direct Action, it's based on todays and modern warfare. The game has three factions - Task Force Talon, U.S Army and Consortium. The graphics can't be complained about, the graphics looks a bit like Generals only it's prettier, more detailed - plainly beautiful. The game concentrates on taking the good parts from classic RTS gameplay( i.e Red Alert and Generals playstyle) and improving some of it's aspects. An interesting improvement/change is the resource aspect - like in other RTS games you collect resources from standard resource locations like goldmines/resource fields(in this case, oil derricks). Besides that you can capture and hold financial buildings like a Bank. The new part here is that you can capture hurt/crippled troopers, capturing and holding these in a Prisoner Camp(Prisoners of War) gives you a steady income of resources. People say this game has great potentional of becoming a popular online game. Here's a couple of links to you who are interested in knowing more about this game Official site:Act of War Playable SP demo: Gamershell Screenshots: Gamershell Review(CVG, 84%): CVG Review(IGN, 85%): IGN |

No, don't work for Atari. I just want this game to be popular, so that it can grow into a big online game.
I wouldn't necessarily say that it's Generals clone, but the game certainly will remind people of Generals. |
