Pc gaming dying

Anthony R Brock made a pretty one sided view of his own narrow pc world Here in wich he rages at everything and everyone who has moved along with the uprising market for consoles.

Besides randomizing everyone as an low IQ moron, he clearly states that he doesnt know anything about console gaming and doesn't want anything to do with it as well

Dude, why do you bother writing your opinion if you yourself are not listening to others... You made your point with the lousy graphics part and bad handling on some games (i do agree with a lot of your points but this article is so onesided!!), but these kind of games apppear on the pc as well....

Hopefully we'll be able to have a good discussion about this subject. I do own a pc and use it to play games, i just do not think you should dodge consoles without really trying it.

Ok, the facts are allright, so EA made 40 % with PS2 games and only 14% with PC games, but that don't meens that gamestudios stop developing for PC's. Maybe we will see more PS or XBox games, portated to PC and thats not bad. :thumbup:
Unfortuantly, i don't understand why everywhere in world, consoles are more sold as PC games. :nxs:

I only know one country where it's the other way round: "Germany" :francesco:

I do agree with him and would find losing pc gaming a terrible loss, but if the market chooses to develope for consoles because of the better marketing potential no one can blame them.

The author should first explore the consoles before judging them and have an open mind on the games developed for them, a lot of these games do require a brain (silent hill, just as one of many examples).

As far as the Polyphony bit is concerned, Sony choose to keep their best game exclusively for the ps2 and that is their right.
As we all know and the author apperantly doesn't gt4 does support mp and is superb.

GtaIII was made possible by the money that sony provided to the developers and they have been showing their gratitude towards them by releasing their games on ps2 eversince.

Is there really any point in reading past the opening paragraph? in case you didn't notice gamershell.com is a multi-format gaming site and most of the people reading this article will be avid console gamers. i am a fan of games, and in my humble opinion a good game is a good game; no matter what platform it's being played on. Anthony, your arguments in the opening paragraph are just poorly thought out and, simply put, plain stupid. you're offending people about their iq levels, and you're the one making a publication without even having a full knowledge of the subject you're ranting about.

I consider Arthur´s article insulting and lacking objectivity! I also think that a good game is a good game, and that platforms or developers or publishers don´t matter anyway! As a member of a somewhat older generation than the average gamer or gamershell visitor, I was part of the whole flamewar that started somewhat before my birth: In the olden days it was Pc versus my lovely C64 (*hug hug*), then Atari versus my beloved Amiga and thereafter I had to witness (and participate in) discussions about Super Nintendo versus Sega Genesis (Mega Drive). As I´m getting more mature and boring every day, I realize that this behavior is part of a repeating phenomenon, coming and going like friggin EL Nino!
I love this site, because in my opinion it´s the best multi platform site on the whole damn net, and as a multi platform gamer that I am, owning all Next-Gen consoles out there and a rig, I think that this unprofessional article is nothing but a piece of crap!
It is lacking facts and bases on diverse levels and phases of intolerance und even envy, basing on mere accusations and presumptions.How dare you to accuse those of us that love console gaming to be lacking intelligence.This article as a whole is an insult and I hereby demand you to defend your point of view!
If you want to justify your opinion, you maybe should start trying out some console games...

X-box, PS2, Gamecube...they all suck when compared to a High end pc. Console graphics are always blurry, muddy, dark colors, poor textures, crappy resolutions (tv). Ill take my p4 3.0, 6800gt, 2 gig gaming machine over any console.... I really hate them :thumbup:

What i mean is that i started this topic to show that consoles are not a negative thing, as implied by the author. Good games are not bound by platform but by gameplay, sure the graphics and sounds are lousy compared to a pc butt if they bring some joy to someones life why flame them?
There's enough stuff happening in the world which i really hate, why should you get irrated by consolegaming. Just live your live and enjoy your time here (even on a console) :P

I think this is more of a PC fanboy rant rather then a real gamer talking.
