An alternative to the gamespy client

We've just barely begun a project of creating a client / server architecture which will work to some extent like the gamespy client.

So, we'd like to hear from all of you;
What would you guys have liked to see in such a client? What could be done in a better way than what current clients offer?

We've considered stuff like making clan and tournament management easier, but that's just a couple of ideas.

Well......a client like all seeing eye but free would be nice....

Things nice to have would be:
Player searches with wildcards
Autosearch of games
No spyware
Autoclose on launching
Easy to create server filters
Ping-packet loss and flux data (of course

)
Autoupdates

Yeah, not flashy memory hogging like game-spy! All-Seeing Eye is the best one out there. If you can be better than that, you're good as hell!
