They probably wouldnt make one that could make you feel fear or pain tho, noone would buy it (unless they had masochistic tendencies)! They'd only be able to do vague sensory stuff, like tastes and smell. It'd have to be really accurate to do visual and auditory stuff, plus everyones brain is slightly different in the positioning of things.
Id just be worried about overstimulating specific areas of the brain, a bit like image burn on plasma screens. Theoretically can lead to hallucinations when not using it! Course they dont really know how they'd do it exactly yet, but Sony dont want to take any chances, hehe.
