Pariah (WARNING: SPOILERS)

When I played the Mp Demo of Pariah I was like: WOA, this is a babe..I dev gonna get it. Now that I got
the copy of it and finished playing the SP I must say this game wasn't worth the 30â‚¬. The first couple of
levels where mad fun and I had a blast with it but then it just got boring. The Game didn't get worse or so
it just didn't bring in anything worth keep playing. I thought DooM3 RoE was so mad fun because it was so
short that there was no time to get bored but now i see it different.
Pariah SP is much shorter than RoE but managed to bore as much as the DooM3 main game. It beginns
ass kicking and sort of had some great later levels but ended with one of the worst endings in game ending
history. At least the Ending didn't make sense what-so-ever which made it feels like it supposed to be like
that. You feel like it supposed to be that crappy. I like the weapons and the Upgrade. The Level design is
pretty straight forward even you have the feeling you can explore they are cut pretty small. sometimes there
is a tiny hill between the rocks and you think you can go thro, but it stays with you thinking it because the
mab ends there and you can't beat the almighty invisible wall. The story was nice to a certain point but you
never had the feeling that Jack (that's you) and Karina had such a close connection. it's probably because
she keeps running away from you...and you have to find her again. Basicly that's the mission of the game:
you find her - she runs away - you look for her - you find her - she runs away - you return the game to the shop.
basicly you know that he and she is getting closer blabla because the game lakes of anything original (storywise).
But they never really do. And at the end it's like they are THEE LOVERS (sorta Romeo y Julietta on Titanic). You
sort of get the feeling you missed a whole chapter or cut-scene that would explain why they act like that or how
they feel for each other. Jack is also infected. At least it says he is. But that's it. you'll never hear about it again
that he also got the virus or such....nope. he is infected and story goes on as it did. Also it got another mayor
plothole. I'm not sure if you consider it as a spoiler, but I really don't think so:
Jack has a SISTER!! Yes, he does. and it get mentioned once toward the end.
You never see her. You never know why or what's up with her. But that's appearently enough
reason for jack to do the things he does in the game, including finding and losing Karina.

The game isn't really that bad while you play it. it's afterwards after finishing it. I sorta enjoyed the SP during
gameing but once the ending hits the screen that's that.
Technicly the game is clean and looks great for such an old engine. the game doesn't support Anti Aliasing! but
it got those bloom FX which made the picture as a whole pretty neat. nothing spectaculer but it's good. how much
better it could have been if it had FSAA support.

i havn't tried Mp yet. After this Sho Ryu Ken flaming upper betwen my legs I won't touch it again for awhile.

Was never inclined to buy Pariah, I guess now not even the 2nd hand stores will get any money for it either, heh! Unfortunate. Wonder if anyone liked it? Didnt think much to the demo...

I whole-heartedly agree, Kami is pwn, Pariah is teh suck

hmm, it's not really a review. For a review i would have to point out all the positive aspect of the game, too. Where is the fun in that.

PS: the game just came out and is already in the bargain bin for $17,99...woa, that's bad dude
