Just add a little normal mapping to the models and cut down on the extremely high particle effects... Then I wouldn't see why is so impossible..
@Akherousin Ofcourse it took 6 months, look at the amount of detail, the number of extremely detailed models and the amazing animations.. creating such a thing takes time and what I got out of the interview they are planning for a release 2-3 years from now, so they got plenty of time...

Considering their track record (Killzone 1) I find it very hard to believe they'll be able to pull off what their CGI advertisment shows.
If they don't they (along with Sony) will be a laughing stock and lose a lot of credability.

I read about people who thought it was real time rendering and actual gameplay, and that is just absurd, looking at the way he aims, and the way he acts and the enemies act is just stupid, especially the dodging he made when going up the bridge stairs. As David Clayman - IGNXbox said "That had separate animations for every single movement" ... I can go on, but that's not the point, the point is this :

Aww crap! I guess if the Killzone sequence was real-time, they would have been boasting that it was...a lot! The Doc Octopus and Unreal demos were fairly convincing tho! Id like to see PS3 games looking that good! So there is hope!
Id be disappointed if they were cheating for these too tho. ![]() |

The Unreal Demo was real time, that's a fact for sure.
Don't know about the others though ... Motor Storm was also CGI, and that you can tell.

Well someone sended me the link but the site doesn't work. basicly he told
me is that some stuff shown at E§ from sony would look great close up but the moment they are moving the graphic...basicly the whole model would change to low res polygone odels. Dunno if it's true but it wouldn't surprice me. Try finding a working link ![]() |
