Gamers Hell and Neuros Technologies are pleased to announce a contest for the Neuros R2 + the Sony PSP: Let the Neuros Video Recorder unlock the Multimedia potential of the PSP!
All gamers know that describing the PlayStation Portable as a mere portable gaming console is sinful. The PSP is a multimedia monster: whether you want to watch movies, listen to your favorite tunes or surf the internet, the PSP can pretty much do it all. We have all contemplated using the PSP as a video player, but getting content meant either pricey UMD movies or excruciating DVD ripping + conversion steps. PSP users rejoice, the Neuros Video Recorder comes to the rescue. This pocket size video recorder works like a VCR for your the PSP. As you can see in our review (link), the Neuros Video Recorder allows you to convert your favorite DVDs and Record live TV on memory stick Duo and Pro Duo for direct playback on the PSP. You read right, record and play. No more conversion, no more ridiculous extra fees, no more hassle. Here is my review of the Neuros. It is top notch and compliments the PSP very nicely. When I first received the Neuros for review, it was not the intent of Neuros Technologys for it to be so compatible with games but, games are what I do best so, the Neuros was used for gaming. The people at Neuros realized there is a need for their system for gamers as well as mulimedia people. And this is why today I get to offer you, the loyal readers of GH, a contest for the Neuros but, a PSP to go with it. This way, a lucky winner, can see for themselves just how well the two go together. Now for the contest itself. To enter, briefly explain what you would do with the Neuros/PSP combo if you won. This is your chance to impress GH! I would like to see creative entries, things Neuros and myself have not thought of yet. Ya never know, if you can come up with something we havent thought of, your constest entry could have millons of people thanking you for showing them what can be done with a little imagination! Contest will run until Sunday (8th of October) After it is closed, I will have a poll of what I think are the three best entries and then the readers of GH get to vote on who wins. The winner will be announced on that Wednesday. Rules: No paid employee of GH, Neuros, or Sony may enter One entry per forumite Open to everyone Winner will be voted on by the readers Contest closes Sunday the 8th Good luck to all of you! ![]()

I'd record some gameplay videos of a few games(PC / PSP games) and post video reviews around places like youtube and maybe even gamershell (if the new streaming video feature is open to all that is, not sure, just a long-time game/hardware news reader
Would post em in UMD formats for psp gamers on the road as well. Now if that wasn't possible, well, I guess I'd just really appreciate a psp and an r2, maybe watch a few game review shows on the road. |

first i would just show the psp to my boss and record him pissing himself. then i would use the nr2 to convert the video of it to psp format and show it to everyone. also i would like to create some footage showing everyone why games should never be made into movies (ie. blood raine). You know get snippets of video from a dvd of say doom (the crappy parts to highlight my point). and the snippets of me playing the game and whippin ass! that way everytime i hear someone talk about how such and such a game should be made into a movie. well i can just whip out the psp and show them exactly why games should not be made into movies.

I would record a speech by Donald Rumsfeld, in which he says that the US is gloriously winning the war in Iraq. Then, I would play it on my PSP, depressively sighing: 'God, real life is so full of dumb AI'. 'But...wait a minute, luckily, there is my PSP with GRAW on it. I can do much better than Rummy'. The PSP, when you need a break from real life...

After some time discussing things with my fellow students, we came up with this great idea.
LoneStrider and CMD Technologies© are proud to present: ![]() So what is NuSho? -The idea is based on the Playstation Portable and the Neuros MPEG 4 Recorder 2. Eventually we ended up with NeurosShow, made small and and simple in Nu (also as in 'New') Sho. -NuSho is the newest way to get the latest gaming news onto your PSP! 'Where did i hear this before?' - i hear you think. Well, NuSho is different. Think Podcast, with Video. Now you can actually see what has been released, made anew in a way other people haven't thought of yet. -Podcasts are cool an' all, but without the video, people quickly feel stupid for listening to awkward voices while on a train or other travelmethod. NuSho will take away the awkward and put in the coolness of gaming news. Fresh trailers, demo's, news and rumours now suck you right in! -People owning a PSP but not an Ipod will now take back all the lost ground in this new way of PodCasting! -So ever had this time where you were late for school, and had no chance of checking the latest gaming news? Well, thats history. the only thing you have to do is download the latest NuSho episode and view it while you'r traveling, for example, in the train just like me. -The latest trailers, tidbits, info and announcements are all packed in a small, user friendly movie file converted by the Neuros MPEG4 recorder for easy downloading and playing from your PSP wherever you are. - NuSho will feature humoristic, lets say Gamershell style news about the latest info on gaming. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: this is just a promotional flyer and is not an actual project yet. In order to make this happen, you should vote LoneStrider's entry and only then he will be able to try to make this happen with his fellow students. (any questions, suggestions are welcome!)
