EA/Gillette Contest

If you live in the US then you have most likely seen the commercials for
Gillette razors featuring three sports personalities. So, it would seem
that the good people at Gillette like sports as much as a lot of us
gamers and what game company basically goes hand in hand with sports?
EA of course! So it is no surprise that EA teamed up with Gillette to
hold the Champions of Gaming Tournament. You can find details here.

The following is a basic rundown of how the tournament works. If you need more info or want to participate in the tournament, click the link above.

The basic gist is this…XBOX Live users can log in and sign up for Gillette’s “CHAMPIONS OF GAMING!”



* Tournaments will be taking place in North America, Asia and Europe.
* There will be one winner per game per region.
* The three winners for each game are flown to Orlando to compete against each other.
* The winner of that competition has a chance to play against a celebrity athlete.



The tournament starts today with Qualifying Rounds (October 31, 2008) and runs through December 28, 2008. Then there is a “Knock-Out Round” and then “Global Finals.” This does get a little complicated, but you can find more details at the website I listed above, and click on, “Play and Win.”




What does this have to do you? Well, if you have mad sports skills on
the 360 on these games: Madden '09,NASCAR '09,Tiger Woods PGA Tour '09,
NBA '09, and EA Soccer '09, you can enter the tournament for a chance to
go head to head with a Gillette champion (from what we have learned,
these champions are the likes of Tiger Woods and Derek Jeter...just
thinking about whooping Tiger Woods in his own game makes me gitty), a
trip to the global finals, a Gillette shave kit, five (5) EA sports
games, a 12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription, and 4000 MS points. Not
to mention it gives me a reason to give away a copy of NBA '09 for the
360.

To win your copy of NBA '09, all you have to do is go to the site posted
above, find where the global finals will be held, and post your answer
here. That is it. Now, because the contest is pretty simple, you only
have a week to get the answer although, I don't really think it will
take that long but, ya never know.
