I would get the dell, the wallmart one doesn't look that good, it even still has "Integrated Wi-Fi-compliant Wireless 802.11b (11 Mbps) LAN " while the standard these days is 802.11g like the one on dell has.

and I don't think it would play Sims 2, no

just trying to help ;)

I doubt both of them would run Sims 2 ... the dell one is a Celeron 1.3Ghz, the other one is an AMD 1.1Ghz judge yourself ...

Both of them have some unknown integrated video chip :bucky!:

If you want a laptop because you travel a lot or spend more time out doors for office needs and notebook purposes, then these one's will do. However if you are planning on playing new games on them ... forget about it, get a better laptop, with powerful CPU, more ram and some known Video chip like NVIDIA or ATI, of course that means more money. Therefore you rather buy a new PC if you don't travel a lot.

I wouldn't buy any of 'em. Buy something like Knight said!

you can put together a pc on the dell site somewhere, if you do it wisely it'll cost you less than anywhere

You can get a decent PC for that price, but if you want a monitor it's going to cost more.

Check out this link. A great computer for 589$

A notebook PC with decent DirectX9.0C capable graphics will cost you $1000... np! I just brought a notebook for my brother-in-law and it can play all the latest games including farcry at a reasonable fps and gfx detail, however it cost $2000, but its probably as good as most of your computers! Pity its not mine... :nxs:

You will need an 9600 mobile chipset minimum and they only ship on performance mobile chipsets I am afraid! Something which Walmart will not do, however... i am sure someone will... let me check for you!
