well i just stuck in some more RAM today...corsair 256mb pc2100 same as my other RAM stick (other RAM stick is not corsair).... but when.... when it told me i had to create another user (firefox) to get access..... and then after a few minutes my comp shut down for no reason..... wth :dennis:

probably problems with the timmings, this if the fsb of the two sticks are compatible.

Check the timmings, i'm allmost sure it's that!

they are both 233mhz

also some stuff crashes .... first time i ut my pc on after installing it my broswer crashed.... now adobe update manager just crashed....ive checked around the internet and it seems alot of people have this same problem but none of what ive seen actually set it down to being about any one thing or find an answer..... i also got this message after disabling the system restart when their is a system failure which gave me a blue screen instead of just restarting.....which gave the error 0x0000007f (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

233 Mhz isn't the timmings. The timmings can be something like 2-2-3-2 or something like that . Timmings are different of all RAM so you have to change it

ok so if it is the timings (as i have tried the stick on its own and it didnt come up with any error) what can i do to fix this or even just check them.
