ATi Radeon, vs the 6600GT

Guys i need a honest opinion.. from all of you... Would a upgrade from a ATi Radeon 9800Pro to a Evga 6600GT make any differece in my Framerate? i mean.. would it bring me up another 20 frames? ive look at the Memory speeds and core speeds and yes the 6600GT's clock speeds are much faster than the 9800Pro's but it doenst have 256-bit memory.. it has 128-bit.. but then it has GDDR3 as the 9800Pro has 128mb something rather... i get 105.88 on the HL2 Stress test.. but in gameplay with about... lets say... a 20-30 man server i start to get issues with lag.. Graphical Lag and whatnot and to much action going around me.. brings the frames down.. would the 6600GT smooth this out and give me the Beauty and preformence that i want? or would i be a waste of money and a slap in the face? im not sure.. please help.. id like to get the performance of a great card for not that much money.. if thats not the case... ill just save up for the x850XTPE™ that ive been wanting..

oh and this is my 1st Nvidia card... and if it sucks.. im gona send it back to Nvidia with a bomb strapped to it

Im lookin at an upgrade from 9800Pro too.

I read this before: Anandtech 9800Pro vs 6600GT It seems the half memory bandwidth doesn't phase the 6600GT at all, and it improves on the 9800Pro by a fair bit.

I've decided to either trade my 9800Pro against an X800XL or 6800GT myself for ~£150-160. But the 6600GT will certainly make that 20-30fps difference you're looking for in HL2. :thumbup:

Guess im gona stick with my dream card *x850XTPE* id like to be able to max all of my games.. with AA and AF.. which i can somewhat do with my 9800PRO.. but not much..
