extra IDE Harddrive

Hi guys

I just found out I have another IDE harddrive at my disposal, tis only 15Gb but it wouldn't hurt since I only got 80Gb now.

My question!

How do I hook up another IDE harddrive (if it is possible in the first place) since I dont have any more 40pin in/outputs on me
Asus A8N?

You just need the IDE cable which has 2 Ports on it. Set the Main HDD to Master and the other to Slave (with the jumpers) and that's it.
I guess 1 IDE cable with two ports came with the Mainboard already.

would that be the same sort of cable you also use for your Master and Slave CD/DVD drives?

Yes it is exactly the same. But if you don't have any slots left on your motherboard you can get a IDE controller-card and put in a PCI slot. I have one and it workes great!
