Ok so i bought another 512mb of ddr400 and added it to my other 1gig of ram making it 1.5 gigs. Now when i boot up i get passed post screen and i go to windows boot up and i see it boots up but when that windows boot screen gets off, it..... just hangs in a black screen :Oo: :bucky!: :the alcohol soaked braindead chimp: :the alcohol soaked braindead chimp: read here if you want to know more bout my problem :/

What's the wattage on your Power Supply Unit? Its possible that your PC hangs due to insufficient power.
But to be honest, do you really need 1.5gb of RAM? I can't see the point myself. |

If you've got a 128mb vidcard than that's the problem, I got the same thing. Setting textures to medium helps (a lot)
I guess adding another 512mb ram would indeed slove this problem, check the motherboard manual (some motherboards require the ram to be put in specific slots to work correctly). To find out if it is a 'amount of wattage' problem, just downclock your processor and vidcard and then check and see if works.
