i just bought a coolermaster hyper 48, and it has a 4 pin power connector, and my motherboard has a 3 pin connector, and on the box it sais it will work on a 3 pin plug, which i am using but it says it will run at the lowest RPM, is there any way to over ride this? it is currently running at 1200 rpm with a max of 6000

hmmm, usually a motherboard limits the speed of your fans. Try going to the motherboard's website and downloading the latest bios, and look for some utilities for the motherboard. I have a FanEQ for my motherboard (Abit) and I can manually control every fan on my computer (TASTY!).
