Sound card conflicting

Hi! and HELP! I have purchased an x-wave 7000 sound card. when I installed it, there is a conflict which disables all sound. the last time I tried it, the conflict was with the dial up modem which I have now changed for a broadband Netopia modem. I am still unable to get any sound, even when the software is installed. Any Ideas ?
Anyone who can help me can get a free lucky rub off my pet sheep. Airfares, and all travel expenses not paid...hehehehe

Are you sure that you have disabled the sound driver in your bios ?
