7800GTX 512MB

Acordding to the inquirer nVidia is planning on releasing a 512MB model of their 7800GTX in order to
compete with ATi's next-generation 512mb cards (such as the X1800XT and X1800LE).

Eventhough The Inquirer isnt known for their most truthfull stories I still believe a 512MB model of the 7800GTX
is bound to show up someday.

if they don't do it with the 7800 they will eventually they wouldn't allow Ati to have such an advantage over them

ATI... advantage? Tell me how? All their new cards have is some pixel shader branching and SM3.0 support... otherwise its a glorified X850 with memory controller optimisations! Nvidia have ATI over a cold hard wooden bench right now... cos they can afford to release their premium SM3.0 cards in bigger numbers and cheaper prices...

Ati still has better image quality in everyway, and it lets you enable aa with hdr on, nvidia doesnt

.the 1x800xt is owning 7800gtx in quake 4 =/. Sad aint it?

STFU Sprigg, Your trying to tell me that the ATI part has better OpenGL support than the Nvidia card?... LMAO... Friggin LMAO!

As an ATI and Nvidia DirectX9 owner I support the image quality arguement aswell as the AA over ATI's own HDR algorithm one... but OpenGL quicker....LOL!

It sure is Gm, ati > 7800gtx in higher resolutions in doom 3 and quake 4 =/. Even ask Sepht, the one that makes the good arguements. And i was a ati owner and am a not so proud nvidia owner

. And 2x7800gtx isnt worth it.
