hi,

I am on route to buying a new notebook for both work and play!
the weapon of my choice comes in 2 flavors.

a) featuring a 17" display of 1900x1200 with 25 ms
B) featuring a 17" display of 1440x900 with 16 ms

I would like to have a big resolution for work, but i WANT to be able to play without getting nausea...

any hints or experience on that?

help very appreciated.

the 16ms will do you better than the 25ms for gaming.
resolution is high enough I suppose with 1440*900

My 17" TFT is 16ms and Id say its just about good enough for gaming...it flickers a little when there are quick movements on the screen. I dont have any experience with 25ms latencies but based on my TFT I reckon it'd be a tad slow for gaming, and prob will make you chuck on games that require running and spinning a lot. :P

Depends whether you really need a res that high for work...and what games you play! :P

Take the 1440x900 one obviously, btw which onboard graphics card does that notebook use?
