I dont think the dx9 isnt optimized for mid end cards and lower, like my 6800 plays through 20-30fps >_>. So much bs, either Infinity Ward or activision better fix it or ima go wherever the director fornicateing lives and kick him in the crotch. Though i dont know about your 9700 pro, since the game is kinda next gen =/ But put the game to dx7 if you want.

I have a 6800 also , and theres the exact framerate , probably same settings .. I tried to balance them out . Installed the nvidia 81.87 driver , without it the game would probably run slower . I can honestly say this is one of the best ww2 shooters i ever played ... If i had a clue about how it looks on a higher system , i would probably say it was the best . Gameplay and atmosphere are excellent . The "unlimited health" is brilliant , i wonder why no one attempted to try this before , it makes the gameplay more fluent , you only die if you are reckless , just like in real war .
Im not a call of duty fan . I just like goond games.

guess it only matters on certain systems, my bro has a similar system but has a 3.2 and 280gb and runs like crap like mine.Seems that this is a problem of IW or Activisions and not nvidias or ati. Maybe the game is still prefered on a radeon since the game is ported from the x360 system and the x360 has a ati chip.

It's a demanding game. Even my 7800GTX has a difficult time running it at 1920x1200
