Hey so,
The kid goes to college, and sure enough his old pc is dying. I gotta get a laptop, so.. Candidate #1 - ABS Mayhem [P4 processor] with 256mb dedicated graphics (Geforce Go 6800 Ultra). Is this card worth the [insane] price? Candidate #2 - HP w/ Athlon 64 4000+ and 128MB ATI RADEON® XPRESS 200M w/Hypermemory [or is that just 'hyped' memory?] #3 - Widow PC [don't know if the brand is to be trusted] w/ "Choice of nVidia 7800 GTX, ATI X850 XT Platinum Edition, or nVidia Quadro 1400 video cards with 256MB DDR3 memory and AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+ or FX57" Thanks!! ![]() |

No Quadro, no XPRESS 200 M.
#1 is cool, nice power. #3 is good also. Both 7800 GTX and X850XT are raw power depends on what you can afford. Processor-wise, the FX57 is faster in gaming, the X2 4800+ is faster in dualcore applications (which aren't much around though)
