Latest Driver for my new 6600 oc 256 mb

i just got my new vid card the bfg 6600 oc 256 mb.I didnt install the cd because i know nvidias site has the latest ones. Im wondering which one would work best and is WHQL certified . which one did you install for your 6600 as in release date thanks.

just download the latest ones i think its 81.85.

u can easily install the latest one using the options for the graphics card

thanks guys i dl the 81.85 and it installed with ease. cs plays fine , but cod is just a little choppy im assuming i need more memory. i only have 256 ddr upgrading to 1 gb 2700 333 mhz this week . hope that helps

Of course it will help, having 256 ram is deadly with any game that is 1 year old or newer. I would recommend 1gb+ for all the latest games, I have 1gb and it is perfect, but every now and then I wish I had 1.5 or 2. With your graphics card, 1gb should be more than enough.

Now im having a problem in CS it starts out fine for a few minutes then all of a sudden the screen changes and theres blocks of different colors and all i see are silohuettes of the players. is that a driver issue? thanks.
i tried both the 81.95 and 81.85 for my 6600 oc bfg 256mb. i have my seting as 840x640 tried both 16 and 32 bit mode.

your cards just probley heating up to much.i dont know how much they oc the bfg cards but you probley need a better cooler for your card.have you oc'd your card other then the factory settings?

no i left it stock..only after an hour of play too.

Tell me the temps of your card, get a program called nvtemplogger and play for an hour and see how high it rises. and post it back here

all i see is a blue fox when i open the icon. doesnt do anything
