right this is a challenge for you guys if you would like to help me out
is it possible to build a fairly decent machine for 300 quid max (excluding a monitor)? if so what would you put in it? I dont mind what you would use lol, if you can help thanks murcielago

![]() You could probably find a free case if you're not too picky, just ask some tech stores if they have any atx cases they're throwing out. If you're really lucky you might be able to pick up a used Asus A7N8X, some old amd cpu, something like a geforce 4200ti, a basic 300watt psu, 512mb of very generic ram and a basic harddrive for around 300 used. The motherboard has integrated audio and networking, so you won't have to spend anything on that.

How much is 1 British pound sterling?
Im from USA and I think our deals are pretty good (volume discount) We just have many more stores compeating for business. There has to be a way to get stuff here. I just built a good system here 754 mobo and 2800 cpu $79 1 gig corsair ddr 400 $75 Ati X800 GTO 256 DDR 3 ram $135 Maxtor 250 gig hd (16 mb cache) $86 |

There is a reason you got it cheap!...
Oh and to say the USA has more stores competing for business is competely absurd. There is no national IT market... its an International one!.. and our prices are about the same, because they have to be. Its just my national currency is worth more than yours! :P |
