laptop hardware question

yeah could someone tell me if a video chip in a notebook computer can be upgraded without taking into a shop, right now i have an IBM thinkpad it has a radeon mobility 9000 video in it, "agp 4x" I want a mobility 9800 I'm thinking....any help on this would be great, thanks.

Yes there is a couple panels on the back that can be opened....but my real question is where can I find a new video chip for a laptop, you can't just walk on into bestbuy & get one soooo :bucky!:

so you must be able to buy those chipsets seperatly
