I just bought a new pc and Im lookin again for a pci 16 express video card for around 200-250. I was thinkin either the 6800 gs or the 6800 ultra
The 6800 gs is actually only about $170 ,but only 12 pipes, and the 6800 ultra has 16 pipes but around $250.I know the ati cards are a lil cheaper, but in that price range the cards dont have the smart shading or whatever its called. I also noticed as for my x600 gto for my other pc the latest driver doesnt too well. Also if anyone notices the difference between 12 and 16 pipes as far as quality and textures etc.. 3.2 p4 w/HT 1 gb pc 4200 533 mhz |

The gs is a shitty card, dont get it. I'd easily reccomend getting the 7800 gtx for $100 more. This is a top of the line video card. None better by nVidia nor ati. (Ati is not meant for gaming). So if you ask me putting $100 dollars in to get the Geforce 7800 is well worth the money if you ask me.
