howdy ladies,
my mate recently buyded a new computer tht pwns.. only prob is that his razer diamondback mouse keeps randomly disconnecting and reconnecting, i assume hes got usb 2 ports and methinks that his drivers may be screwed or somthing. hes tried reinstalling the razer drivers.. but its still screwed. he uses a usb keyboard aswell, and methinks its usb one, if he a usb 1 device in a usb2 port does that make the port usb1 from then on? ... heard that somwer.. if so, anyone know how to make it usb 2 again?
dont even know if thats the problem tbh.. but meh every little helps

hes being forced to use a 800dpi max mouse lol you can see the squares it moves in when hes aiming :dennis:

If he has an new computer he should have usb 2.0 standard. Usb doesn't go back to 1.0 all the time if an older keyboard is inserted, it just has 1.0 backwards compatablility. Check your bios setttings if the bios is perhaps set to 1.0 by default and change that to 2.0 or auto if that's the case (usb shouldn't be that hard to find in the bios since it has it's own section).

Chances are your friend just has an broken mouse if it keeps dis- and reconnecting, contact diamond about the problem

I heard someone complaining once that other usb devices sometimes interfered with these mice. Maybe try plugging in a non-usb keyboard in instead, or just trying the mouse on its own with nothing else usb related plugged in?

Get a usb to ps/2 adapter and it will most likely solve your problems. Without modding your usb update rate your ps/2 mouse has a much faster update rate...
