Well, bottom line is I have to up grade. I am still sporting AGP and a 754 pin CPU and have no budget to upgrade to a PCI-e platform. So after much research on the top AGP GFX cards, namely the 7800gs and
x850 PE, cant decide on which one to pick. So YOUR (who ever you are) help is needed.

7800gs - with a top of the line card, you'll likely want to turn on all the sm3.0 effects. x850 is only ps2.0, and I think it's probably slower than the 7800gs

One thing... Can't you just get a pci-e mobo for $80 and buy a x1800gto?

I'd stay with your 6800 tbh, and save for a major upgrade later this year possibly.
