You can rest bios values by pressing del at bootup and then returning the bios to standard values. However, I highly doubt that will solve the problem. First off, what type of dvd player do you have and what's your os?
On another note, the starforce removaltool NXS posted works fine but has the nasty sideeffect of deleting all the games with sf protection on your harddrive. Thought you'd want to know, I experienced that the hard way. Starforce should be outlawed, they have done so much damage to the pc scene that they killed their own market.

Just go to your configscreen and select hardware there. Then check to see wether any dvd drive even shows up at all. If it isn't installed but Windows sees it nonethelesss then it should have an yellow questiomark in front of it. Try reinstalling it there. If that doesn't work then open up your pc and check wether the cables are properly pugged in. If none of this works then come here again.

hi gazz.u wer rite. it ws the cable. its ok now. als i'v restored my sys to an earlier date n i thnk it hs solved the starforce prob. i'v got the copy of the pop two thrones dvd from my bro.he lives in another country. is thr any way to mak it wrk.iv got alcohol120% trail version n daemon tools.can u guide me,step by step. i really need to play ths gam...thnks a lot
