Surroundsound headphones needed.

I got a set of SONY MDR-DS3000 Wireless Dolby Digital/DTS Surround Sound Headphones. I brought them the day they came out, probably early summer last year or maybe eve before then. They cost me about £200.00 or something, but you can pick em up cheap now and they are an amazing set of headphones. Superb audio quality if you have SPDIF as they have a built in Pro Logic II, DTS and Dolby Digital Decoder.

The sound quality is immense and the bass is really quite superb for headphones. If you have an Audigy/Extigy/Xi-Fi you can select use this external decoder to get some awesome quality audio in some games and all of your DVD movies.

I have been looking into upgrading my current Creative HS-600 headphones to a more decent pair. Since I purchased a 5.1 speakerset and a X-fi soundcard I love the sound it gives and now want surroundsound headphones to have an even better BF2 experience.

Do you guys have any suggestion what types I should look into? (pref. with an mic!)

I know alot of people that have used these and say they are the best.. I personally haven't triend them out, but 2-3 of my friends own them and say they are so good, they are responsible for some hearing loss.. lol here they are

Well, it just emulates 3D sound... It does a wonderful job but just isn't real surroundsound. However, the quality of my current setup is more then satisfying compared to the suckers with onboardsound.

That Razor set Kami is talking about is amazing but I already have a soundcard so I'll skip that one.

With a Xi-Fi sound card you can have 3D sound with just a normal headphone, i reccomends seinheiser :thumbup:
