Intels Kentsfield "Quad-Core" is set to launch 14th of November!
Original Source!
Just in time too, the day after is my bday. :francesco:
And I'm happy to say that iv already preordered my QX6800 :P
I'm deeply sorry for those sad people that decided to go ahead and buy Core2duo shiat and now do not have afford to buy this one seriously! This bad boy brings almost 70% increase to what Core2Duo had to offer!
And those waiting for some G80's to go with this do not need to wait either! as the series are due to launch 7th of November "Not officially confirmed yet but I'm counting on it B)"

Hell yeah I'am! Charlie Demerjian is one of the trustees at inquirer. He’s always right... :yeahright:
And just to say that’s a more of an announcement than an article.

The inquirer has quite the reputation for inaccurate rumours and misinformation. I don't see a 70% performance increase in gaming over Core 2 Duo HERE. You should really get some credible evidence before you cream your pants you know.
AnandTech shows promising results HERE in encoding and PC Mark applications. I'd really like to see some gaming benchmarks, becuase who gives a shit if one CPU can encode a DivX film 20 seconds faster than another?
You shouldn't feel sorry for me. I bought an e6300 for around 180USD and overclocked it to 3.1GHz. By the time you get Quad 2 Duo, they'll be planning an 8 core CPU anyway. Have a look at THIS, for instance

Lol, you're basing that on that short article? Anyway, I am awaiting the answer from AMD to see what they will do with their new am3 mobo's and new processorline. The quadcore seems great anyway

I Know 80 cores! Can’t wait for one of those to show up! :P :P :P
And most of today’s games aren’t even coded to take the full advantage of core2duos yet so no wonder there’s hardly any performance increase in game benchmarks. I in the other hand am more interested in 3D rendering and simulation creation. And most of my commercial programs do support multiple cores so
But sure enough quad-core is due to show up in Novembers Q4.

What are you HD, like thirteen? My Quad core is bigger than your dual core!?! What kind of childish crap is this? This is the hardware discussion forum, not the "My cock is bigger than yours"-Thread... Get a life kid...
P.S.: sorry for out-off-topic, but this is lame....

LoL I was waiting for someone to reply more negatively. Or else this just would have not felt the same as my previous posts, that tended to be childish.
I never meant to it to sound like you just interpreted it but as I guessed there’s always someone who takes things more seriously than others.
I can only imagine what you think about the "Post Your PC Spec's" topic
No harm intended! But just for justice “quad-core is bigger, bader and better!” :dennis: :P
Next post I expect from you would probably include some comments like "F*** You!" So bring it one!

Yeah, I agree, but congrats on the purchase HD. Remember to have a nice birthday and post some benchmarks as soon as you can!

I have the money to get a quad-core, but to be quite honest I havent got 1 single game/app that has pushed my current core2duo setup. I am saving me pennies so I can get 2 nice DirectX10 GPUs in the new year!
