nope i baught it from apple , via the apple store, and my father working for airfrance has a10% rebate.
Games run well on new macs as i told you yesterday, a friend of mine has one, and has made a lan party with friends who had PCs, and the macbook pro was the most powerfull computer f the room. He jst created all the servers and virtually had no bandwidth limitation.
Do in function of your budget but i can tell you, that having both OS at home, macos is the most eye candy and useful OS...

i had a talk with a classmate about his macbook pro, and he was 10 times more satisfied with mac than windows could ever achieve. it was so simple and handy, he never wants anything else. i really don't know if i still go with that laptop, but since you said windows dual boots excellent on mac's, well, i dunno what to do exactly. MAC versions of photoshop, while windows-based games are still in a way able to work. interesting.

mind if i ask you your retailer?

That does seem like a shit load of money to spend on a laptop, especially seeing as technology progresses so quickly. But if your willing to spend that much its your prerogative :P
