interesting. however, scratch the 8800GTX. a 600 dollar powerunit is a bit too much for me. Gives me the shivers, too. My dad always complains about the energybill, with a 850W psu, i might as wel double it i think. Great review with it there: i quote: 'Blows the breaker when someone is ironing'... damn.
ah well, i probably keep playing my games at a top 1280x1024 resolution, but im still suffering from FPSdrops in certain games, and AA and AF are not really working that great. Maybe my next upgrade will be: new mobo (with PCI-e 3>), GFXcard like a 1650 or something. i dunno anymore. any recommendations?

[/b][/quote] Sorry about that BuffaloChips, I mean't to post a link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813136003 NewEgg wants $188 for the Opty, I'll take $125 with free shipping :-) As for $599 on a Power Supply. The power supply is the heart of any system. Good steady voltages no matter what your load is will keep your system running steady for a long time. I've had more than a few power supplys pop and kill other components in the process. And with a Quad SLI setup a lot of power is needed. And PC Power & Clg. makes the finest PC Power Supplies on the planet. To Manus: The Liquid Nitrogen pot will be for my attempt's to set a world record overclock. It will be my 1st attempt's so I probably won't be successful right off the get go. But I'm gonna try :-)

Slay wouldn't one of those UPS/powerconditioners have been less expensive? My brother-in-law had one at one time and said that it was to keep the power levels steady as well as to prevent loss of data in a power outage. He said his had enough reserve power for about 2 hours in an outage. Seems that and a good strong supply would have been cheaper, but that is me. Then again I don't have unlimited funds for stuff like that. God knows I wish I had $3000.00 I could blow on a rig like that!

to actually get any benefits from it. As it stands I still have plenty of headroom with the XMS2 PC8500 :-)
