Well yes I didn't claim you wouldn't benefit by adding a second gpu. and I'm certainly not trying to change your mind just waned to point out the fact of bottlenegage and that because of that your gfx cards true "potential" is limited..heavily I might add
All around adding a second gpu is a safe option. At least you’re not playing around with your warranty that much…
And all tho it doesn't make much sense tell your friend Phil to overclock his cpu! god damnit! first time is always exiting :francesco:
O yeah.. one more thing.. Alienware is the sheit!

Now this little piggy goes to sleep before I make a bigger fool of my self
"And I'm not drunk! If some of you sons of bitches again try to claim so :francesco: luv ya guys!"

Nice :P Have ya done any overcloking yet?
Coz I would like to see how far you could push it. I couldn't go past 3.3ghz with my Asus Striker hopefully because of the bad ram tho ;) I'll have to rma them next week.
O and use a program called core temp to monitor your temperature readings, it’s the only program that can read core2d/quads digital thermal sensors correctly B) Just in case ya didn't know that already

I am making the decision on the upgrade. I am saving the money for when returned to uk and will put it in the bank until I can see the crysis and the unreal tournament III on my 1x8800GTX. If its the run like the poo or the bitches then I will decide.

BTW in Japan now you can buy some cheap AMD processors. In the one shop near Fathers work there are some complete AMD system for nearly 24,889 Yen which in the uk is the like maybe ÂŁ100! All you need the buy is the monitor!

Yep AMD pc's are real cheap now since that pricedrop.
What should i do get the q6600 or a dual core and take a bit better ram. (XMS2 pc2 6400 now, what would you suggest)?
Though i think the quad core is best, I WANT ALAN WAKE

Hmm that would be the hard decisions Mr Magus... cos the extra good memory would allow for more overclocking headroom (possibly) but quadcores will have a distinct advantages with some games that are coming this year. Maybe slaym8 or hd would advising better.

I would say go for quad! ;) can't go wrong with that especially if you like to play Alan wake so much and some low latency ram anything below 4.4.5.18 T2 timings with 1066mhz speed most of 1066mhz rams are sold with Cas5 latency marked on them tho they can do better, google arround.. 800mhz T1 timed rams aren’t a bad choice either as long as its low latency + they are a lot cheaper without that much of a difference.
Intel architecture has always benefited most from low latency

And because Alan Wake is developed with the help of Microsoft you might have to consider getting 2gigs or more ram because of the crowing phenomenon called vista exclusive content. ;)

My EVGA 680i mobo died this weekend. But my RMA has been approved.
Just got my old P4 3.0 Ghz back up and running. I'll be taking the 680i
PC apart when I get home this evening so I can ship it out tomorrow.
