I'd say either or. I do like the EVGA 680i. And they approved my RMA
request on a Sunday. How strange is that. Plus the EVGA replacement
is a redesign for quad core cpu's. As I understand it all 680i mobo's
(regardless of the manufacturer) have a performance problem with
Quad core cpu's limiting the max. stable fsb. EVGA even offered replacement
boards for working mobo's. I had planned to send mine in earlier but
never got around to it til now. As for the rest of your upgrade. You can't go
wrong with the Q6600 or 4GB of ram. You'll luv yourself for doing it in
6 months. It won't be long before all games and apps are coded for
multiple cores. The more the better :-)

Edit: If you order the EVGA make sure the model# ends in AI. This is
the redesigned model. If it ends in AR then it is the old design.

Well i can run servers on it too. Fibrewire will be here soon, means 10/10mbit for cheap prices. I'll try to make some money out of that to get 100/100mbit

Just don’t get Asus Striker; it has trouble written all over it. Worst decision in my life! "so far"
I'm going to buy EVGA as well if asus doesn't hurry up with their miracle bios. :P

I've decided long ago i will not go with Asus. I just dont trust them anymore.

(And the EVGA Mobo looks cool)

Anyways my new specs will be:

Case: NZXT Apollo
PSU: Corsair Modular 620W (Looks like a great thing, nothing but good reviews!)
Mobo: EVGA 680i SLI
Memory: 2x 2048MB XM2 PC 6400 (Totaling to 4096MB)
Processor: Intel Q6600 Quadcore
Videocard: Evga 8800GTX (Any good alternatives anyone?)
Harddisks: 2x Seagate 7200.10 320GB (Totaling to 740GB)
Monitor: Samsung 226BW 22" S

This is about 2000 euro's. :francesco:

For the video card I would go with EVGA, BFG or XFX.
All 3 make Great cards and have a reputable warranty :-)
