I'm still sticking with my original theory that dust has already burned it's way into your card and a replacement is needed, just hope the underclock helps you out till then ![]()

This is what I did:
I left my case opened and played some games while a temp monitoring tool was running (along with Forceware's own tool). The system didn't crash so I thought it was an temp problem like you all said. Then I tried to repeat the test with the case closed. The system didn't last 5 minutes before it crashed. The weird part is that the system didn't overheath (judgind by the numbers). Then my brother thought that maybe some cables were making contact with the motherboard or something like that, so proceded to rewire the system. It has been working very well since then. Thank you very much for the help anyway. By the way, since my system is working fine I've thinking of softmodding my video card (it's an AGP version, so I know the chances of success are high). Is it worth trying or do you think that's just asking for it? |

I'd think your pushing your luck there. You might wanna check if XFX has released a new bios for your card. Check for that by pressing this link. A new bios sometimes does wonders although I might add that it can be dangerous if you never did it before. All these sites keep saying you should read all info and although I usually just click it away, I suggest you read instructions carefully this time before flashing your bios. Feel free to ask anything here btw.
As for the rest, I'd stick with ocíng for now and when your system is still running stable in 2-3 week then think about it again. Good luck

I only use compressed air on some parts of the case and make sure it's blowing the dust outside the case. For the components and such I use a brush. Guess I should have been more specific as compressed air won't do that part of the job.

Never use cpompressed air? I have never heard that before. It does make sense though, as far as gunking up the tiny parts of fans. Maybe I should stop using compressed air?? :bucky!:

Personally I take my system apart when I clean it. Take ALL the fans off and blow them out carefully. The only thing in my case when a clean it is the MB and drives. I even take out the PS and open it up and blow it out as well.

look for boot disks on the net or something... otherwise good luck :P... as for the led, try putting it on the mb backwards they are diodes after all (ie don't allow a current thru the other way), souldn't cause any damage... assuming they are in correctly ?!?! [its usually what i've done wrong when my led(s) don't work...]
