Cpt, you sound like a Fanboy to me.
But its all good. Regardless of which technology is superior, I think HD-DVD will win out because of the name familiarity. HD...They like that... then they hear "DVD" oh, I'm a stupid American, I like it! Then they hear blu-ray disc... "Oh dat dun gosh dere technolgy too technikal fer meh" Regardless. I want the Holodisc to win.... Man... The size of games! |

Have a read of this: Blu-ray Total Sales Surpass HD DVD. I realise its early days, as it were, but still interesting all the same. I'm of course neutral

I'll be buying a HD or Blue-Ray Player and a Burner as soon as the price comes down.
More space is always better in my book, and AnyDVD already has the scoop on HD and Blu-Ray :-)

i'm not a fanboy lol!! I apreciate good things for their objective value!
Hearing a starwars music in 6.1 DTS ES lossless is something that makes me cry. Look at the landscapes of Oblivion, while hearing the beautiful songs by Jeremy Soule, is something that makes me dream. I didn't especially want a PS3, nor anything that comes with it,but when my father showed me the ice age 2 for the first time... (my father is a HI-FI lover since he was 14. ) i realized how far this could go. I'm a music lover for myself lol! So a Mozart classical without any compression is something very intense. (I hope they remaster concert in blu-ray)

Lol, I am a college student!! First year in physics, mathematics and informatic!! (it's only one section lol, i wouldn't have the courage to pass three series of exams!)
I'm willing to become a pilot or an astro-physics researcher. No it's my father who buys all that stuff! I don't have enough money to buy myself a mobile phone card every month!!

You actually can man, you can buy a 22inch lcd for around $270 with an hdmi port and get a usb tv tuner for around 30 bucks + another 30 bucks for a hdtv anntenna and you can watch local channels in hd or just pop in a direct sattellite hmdi cable from your hd box to your lcd monitor. so basically you need to spend $270 to around $330
